For our second sketch of the month, we have the talented Katrina Hunt as our guest sketch designer. Let's get to know her a little:
I live in Springfield, Missouri with a roomie and four Cardigan Welsh Corgis that are pretty much the subjects in my layouts a lot! If I am not scrapping, I am either at my full time job, watching TV, playing on the iPad or hanging on the computer! I swear I should have been a tech geek! I started scrapping in 2009 and haven't looked back. The funniest part is, I used to laugh about people buying all the paper, stickers, etc. Now, I am the one wondering when the latest and greatest is available. I have been on several design teams, including sketch teams and manufacturer teams. Currently, I am on Therm O Web Adhesives, {a flair for buttons} Etsy shop, CREATE magazine and most recently joined the Maya Road design team. I love the challenge that a design team gives me, and I actually scrap better with a challenge.

2) Tell us about your scrappy style and habits:
My style is so hard for me to define. I am drawn to bright colors, I find them so much easier to work with. I am a night owl scrapper, occasionally I may not start scrapping until about 9 or 10 at night. This is on a work night! I don't have a dedicated scrap room like most people, just a table set up in the living room with some stuff around me. This is easily (haha, if not packed with stuff on it!) put away if company is expected, etc. I am a slow scrapper most of the time, but there are times when I can get something done that I am happy with in about an hour. It doesn't happen often, just so you know!
3) Describe your sketch making process:
I actually made the layout first and then based the sketch off of that. Anytime I have "made my own sketch" this is how I have done it. Now, if I am following a sketch someone else has made, it usually looks nothing like the sketch by the time I am done with it!
4). What are 5 products/trends or techniques that are your favorite right now:
1. Doilies-I love them and they will never go away in my stash. I get teased about them even!
2. Faber Castell Gelatos-I have had some for awhile and recently pulled them out to play. LOVE them and now I have just about all the colors. They have more color than basic watercolors.
3. Silhouette Cameo-Love it. I may not use it on every project, but I like to know it's there.
4. Instagram- I know, not a product, but a trend! I love finding inspiration on there and new ideas.
5. Enamel Dots-I don't always know what to do with them, but I love them!
